There is no longer a requirement for a HIP before you market a property. The coalition government scrapped the Home Information Pack with effect from the 21st May 2010.
Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are still legally required and must be obtained before the property is advertised for sale or to let.
The EPC previously came with the HIP but can be purchased separately from a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) such as Aurora Energy Assessment
